Selecting text behind a component in the system editor

When in the system editor, I dropped a generic block hoping to rename it. However when I tried to click the “Generic” text, it selected the entire block. How can I select the text behind the block to edit it?

Hi Philip,

To select the text behind a generic block, do the following:

  1. Navigate to ‘Shape Edit’ (screenshot - 1) tool in the left hand toolbar and click on it (do not select any shapes)
  2. Move the mouse over to the text in the generic block and make sure only the text part is highlighted
  3. Double-click on it and you should be able to edit the name of the generic block
