Description - Hardware Reliability Engineer (Singapore)
Product: Consumer electronics - laptops, tablets, audio products, hardware and accessories
Job Responsibilities
Execute a design qualification to assure the quality and reliability of new hardware products in the development phase
Work with remotely-located teams of quality professionals in ensuring the quality and reliability of products shipped
Work with engineering teams on solutions that are implemented to improve the quality of products
Setup, maintain and improve quality processes for consistent and predictable execution and results
Continually improve hardware quality and reliability coverage, accuracy, methods, processes and turnaround time
Manage third party testing vendors to provide testing services in support of the qualification of new products and hardware changes to existing products
Maintain quality and reliability assessment programs of products in mass production
Pre-Requisites
Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering discipline
3 years of experience working in the hardware reliability, quality and/or process discipline
Experience in INTEL based desktop, notebook & tablet products and computer peripherals manufacturing environment
Experience in programming in a LINUX/PC/WINDOWS etc. environment and good knowledge of PC-based office automation tools
Familiarity with environmental and reliability testing standards, methods & tools
Experience in implementing or managing the ISO 9000 quality management system standard and process
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple teams Team player with good analytical and judgement skills
