Description - Jr. Electrical Engineer (Palo Alto, California)
Product: Smart Watch
Pebble is looking for an enthusiastic electrical engineer to help with our next generation of wearable products. We’re looking for a junior candidate to help with board bring up, development board procurement, and RMA processing, and to help in the HW design as needed. A strong focus on the overall product design as well as attention to detail is essential.
Duties:
Board bring-up and debugging
RMA processing,
Development board procurement
Hardware bug tracking
Design process optimization
Manufacturing bring-up and support
Working with both Software and Mechanical designers
Required Skills and Experience:
BS/MS EE
1-3 years overall experience needed
Must have great EE fundamentals
Must have hands-on experience in board bring-up and debugging
Experience designing high volume products from beginning to end and dealing with contract manufacturers is a plus
Experience in small embedded systems, especially ARM microcontrollers is a plus
Experience in the some or all of the following areas is helpful: processor selection, various communication protocols (especially USB, SPI, I2C and UART), analog design, audio design and measurement, sensor design and integration and low power circuit design
Experience in DC/DC power design, Bluetooth is a plus
Tools: Cadence Allegro, Mentor Expedition and/or Altium designer
Position will require some international travel.
