Paste Coverage Setting

When working with SMT components, the paste layer in the pad stack is the same size as the copper and solder mask. This seems fine in theory, but when using stencils and reflow ovens, there is way too much solder paste on the board.

I’d like to be able to specify the percent coverage of the paste layer in a pad stack. It’d also be useful if I could set a default coverage amount.

Hi Keith,

Definitely on the list. We’re entering a period of time where we’re looking to ‘polish’ up a lot of our existing functionality and this is a good example of some of the things we’re hoping to include. We’ll keep you posted!
