I am pretty new here and a very beginner in using upverter.
After having completed a layout I am wondering how to create or export a file (pdf, png etc. - a “normal” format, please) just for printing out a plot for a single layer pcb. I mean just the traces on the copper side.
It should be that easy…
Please give me a hint.

For creating photo masks for etching PCBs you can download the gerbers and use software like gerbv (http://gerbv.geda-project.org/) to export to PDF or SVG.
You can call gerbv from the command line and specify what conversion options you want. Something like gerbv -D 1200 -x png -o layer.png layer.ger. There are other options for setting foreground and background colours.
