There is a bug when cutting and pasting components they get reassigned new reference designators. Can’t imagine this wouldn’t have been seen before so maybe it’s because I have a lot of this particular component on my schematic. Regardless I’m guessing it’s a bug: ctrl-x -> ctrl-v -> new refdes. Bizarre.
